You just found your unfair advantage.
Here's what thirty-plus years in this industry has given me — and more importantly, what it gives you.
The ability to anticipate details others might miss. Trusted partnerships with the best operators, cruise lines, and properties in the world. An honest, experienced eye for what will genuinely elevate your journey versus what simply looks good on paper. And the kind of calm, confident guidance that comes from having navigated just about every curveball this industry can throw.
I believe travel is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in ourselves. It's about the person you become when you step outside your everyday life. You experience new cultures. You see the world from a different angle. And you return home with a heart just a little bigger than when you left. That is the most valuable takeaway of all — and it's one that stays with you long after you've unpacked.
Crafting iconic travel itineraries is my full-time job.
It Works In Your Favor.
All of that?
The pines for the place that restored me. The feathers for the birds I watched soaring above the lake — built to fly, to travel, to see the world from an entirely different perspective. “Feather & Pine” — it felt right the moment I said it out loud. It still does.
I returned to the industry in 2026 with a renewed vision and an expanded focus to help my clients go “beyond the beach.” River cruising and European travel are now woven beautifully alongside the tropical destinations I've long known and loved.
Feather & Pine was born in that forest.
It really did start with The Love Boat — and a little girl who was convinced she was born to plan incredible journeys for people she hadn't even met yet. Funny how the universe has a way of confirming your childhood instincts.
I went on to study Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M (gig 'em!), and what followed were three decades of building a career across nearly every corner of the travel and hospitality industry. Hotel sales & catering. Convention and trade show production. Destination management. High-end corporate events. Incentive travel that took me across the globe. I learned to manage complex, moving-parts logistics that most people never see — and that I genuinely loved untangling.
What I discovered along the way is that whether you're orchestrating an incentive trip for six hundred people or a honeymoon for two, it always comes down to the same thing: detailed preparation, genuine care, and truly understanding what the person on the receiving end needs to feel.
In 2010, my husband Steve and I planned our destination wedding in Mexico. And in the midst of resort logistics, ceremony details, and watching it all magically come together, something clicked.
I left my corporate career, launched Beachbliss Honeymoons & Destination Weddings, and never looked back.
For over a decade, I designed tropical escapes to Mexico, the Caribbean, Fiji, Tahiti, Costa Rica and Hawaii— I was traveling extensively, building deep industry partnerships, and falling completely in love with the work of bringing my client’s journeys to life.
Then, in 2022, I did something that surprised even me. I stepped away.
Steve and I invested in two cabin properties nestled among the tall pine forest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. And somewhere between hiking along the river, sitting quietly at the lake, and the slow unhurried rhythm beneath those trees — I found exactly what I needed. Perspective. Clarity. And an overwhelming confirmation of just how much I love this work.
My Story?
Fair warning — my husband will tell you that I have a gift for making a short story long. He's not wrong. But I promise this one is worth it.
